Based on my years of maternity photography experience, I know that a maternity phot session is very tiring and requires lot of energy on the part of mother. So during my initial briefings I try to gather information about the medical condition of the expecting mother.
I inquire about their pregnancy details like how many weeks pregnant, any specific medical advice, overall medical condition etc. I also brief them about the maternity photoshoot details to make them mentally ready for the shoot as they need to change many dresses and pose for long period of time etc. So i suggest them very clearly in case of any medical condition and advise them accordingly.
Maternity Photoshoot Packages
After my initial briefing and medical inquiry, I discuss the maternity photoshoot package details with expecting parents. I detail out the differences between each packages and highlight key takeaway from each package. I also brief them about what to expect as final outcome of each package. During the discussion of photoshoot packages, my main consideration is the ensure that expected parents requirements are met and I also ensure that their medical considerations are also taken care during finalization of package.
Discuss Details of Maternity Photo Session
Once the maternity photography package is finalized, I conduct multiple sessions with expecting parents to explain them in detail about each and every detail of before, during and after process of maternity photoshoot. I brief the expected mom and dad about dress selection in detail. I share the dresses ang gown selection with them and discuss in length about the dress section based on the packages and selected themes and poses.
I also discuss about the poses to be done during the maternity photo shoot. I tell them in detail about the maternity photo session flow and how exactly the whole session unfold. I also discuss about the makeup package details and connect with my makeup artist for further discussion
Maternity Photo session day
After prepping the expected mom and dad for the photo session the actual photo session day arrives. I welcome the expected parents in my comfortable and cozy studio. One of my most important priority for the day of photoshoot is to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of parents so that they enjoy the photoshoot.
After the welcome, I brief them again about the photo session flow and discuss the dress changes and other details. After that the photo shoot beings and I capture the curvy beauty and love of expected mother through my lenses. After the photoshoot I brief them about the expected delivery timeline for the final edited pictures
Photo Editing
During the photo session, I take multiple pictures of various poses. So the selection of best pictures and digital enhancement of pictures begin. I go through each and every picture taken during the photoshoot and select the best ones showcasing the real love and emotions of expecting parents.
After selection, I go through digital enhancement of pictures to delivery high resolution digital pictures. These pictures are delivered in softcopy format through a shared drive link.
Final Remarks
